It was a few weeks ago when I discovered that 75% of users do not scroll past the first page of the Search engine result pages (SERPs), and only 21% of users access more than one of the search results, which is too little for a business. So, how do you make those 75% of the users click on your website? SEO is the answer.

Now let me tell you why SEO. You and I are very well aware that Google is the go-to source of information these days, but why do you think search engines would recommend your website to a user unless you satisfy the search intent of the user? which is, again, a tough job because who knows what the user will search for. You need to understand your target audience and do the keyword research. This can be done by identifying the keywords your potential customers would be searching for while looking for goods or services you’re offering. 

We are definitely not telling you to think of words, write them down, and then incorporate them into your website. There are tools out there that will do the work for you. For instance, Ahrefs, Semrush, WordStream, Keyword Tool, and Google Search Console. 

However, a wise suggestion would be to use keywords with a lower search volume than one keyword that has a higher search volume. This is useful because you are competing with a lot of other brands, and if you want to stand out,  you must do everything in your hands. 

  1. Optimizing your website for search engines

Creating a website, we all know, isn’t enough. The most important step is to make sure that the potential customers find it. To get your site ranked up where people can see it, optimize it for search engines. 

After getting the relevant keyword list, what you can do is create content around them, i.e., optimizing the website’s title tags, header tags, meta descriptions, and images. 

Optimizing your website’s internal link structure is another good way to help Google crawl and index your pages more efficiently.

This will help you analyze if there’s anything more you can do or if you have missed out on anything important and aid in achieving better results.
